This book has zero tension, almost zero plotting, and at 300 pages I am now skim-reading to get to important parts.

An amazingly slow book, yet quite readable. 200 pages in, the plot isn't moving (much), I feel like there's no actual mystery since I've been told who is in the lining sight for suspicion, and gardening has been mentioned all of 2 times - I keep waiting to see Justin, the gardener of the title, spending time gardening, but he's barely managed to plant a foot anywhere near a garden thus far.

Odd that the blurb focusses on Tessa's husband, Justin, and the plot of him trying to unravel the mystery of her murder, yet the viewpoint characters are Woodrow, a friend and work colleague, and occasionally Woodrow's wife, Gloria. There are definitely some secrets being hidden by this viewpoint character, that's for sure.
