Imagining a universe where a screenplay including 3 full uninterrupted pages of fanfic about the emotional experience of the hypothetical future audience watching a 5 minute still frame at the climax of the movie is considered like,, awesome high art cinema writing. Give me a break dude holy freaking moly😭

I need a quick/low effort and kind of silly book to pull me out of this reading slump and I feel like this one is scratching that itch. One thing I can't get past though is the "screenplay" sections. There's a few throwaway lines where Tremblay tries to give an in-universe justification for it being scripted in such a nonsensical way but like man this is just not at all how screenwriting works😭😭
