Read aloud with boys. They found parts laugh out loud funny, understood the underlying tone of bullying but didn’t quite pick up on the subtle shift in perception at the end. Some of the writing was lovely and lyrical. Got a bit slower paced in last third but my 9yo enjoyed while 6 year old stopped being as engrossed. Still sad Zinkoff never did get the credit, love and validation he deserved.
