I enjoyed this a lot more than my last reread. The multi-POV was good and anything Claudia makes my heart ache. And Akasha, the unchanging nihilist who makes her hollowness the whole world’s problem. Thank the gods she’s dead. Now. Onto something new!

In one thing is Akasha is correct: Men are the problem. Though I think murdering 90% of them is… a little extreme, to put it mildly.

As insane as she is, she is a fascinating character, Akasha. Riding the lives of mortals for so many eons, given great power and believes only her way is the right path. It’s a level of god-like delusion that only the First Vampire could muster.

God Akasha’s single-mindedness is admirable… and frightening.

Oh Claudia. Her journal entry always brings me to tears. If only she had lived. Sigh…

I really like Khayman. Shame Anne did nothing with him. Oh well.
