Octopus Moon is an outstanding story of a 5th grade girl named Pearl navigating depression. The story is raw and does an amazing job of teaching readers and other characters what depression is and how it affects her life. This story couldn’t have been better written. I cannot wait to get this book in my 5th graders hands.
