Anger be now your song, immortal one, / Akhilleus’ anger, doomed and ruinous, / that caused the Akhaians loss on bitter loss / and crowded brave souls into the undergloom, / leaving so many dead men—carrion / for dogs and birds; and the will of Zeus was done.

Micah Webber lol I was pulling up “Ulysses” next in the queue, and then realized it’d been so long since I read “The Odyssey” that I wanted to read that, and the movie felt like the perfect time. And then I realized that if I wanted to read that, I kind of wanted to start with the beginning and read “The Iliad.” And so here I am. If you give a Micah a bit of book…

Micah Webber PS - Why doesn’t Goodreads allow you to make readings of different translations distinct logs? I’m reading the Fitzgerald ones, not the Emily Wilson ones.
