I really WANT to want to finish this...but it seems to me that 60% of the way through the book I should have gotten something for my efforts. and so far I am still waiting on the ~big twist~ that doesn't seem like it's going to be that satisfying. or maybe that's what they want me to think! or maybe that's the point - the slow build is as frustrating as being a young lady with no support in the 1950s...
