End of Part Eight with an AMAZINGLY touching meeting between Strike and his Rock Star Father.. AMAZINGLY done Rowling really.... the dialogue, being in-character the whole time and references to memories we witnessed at the previous books.. just wow.

There's also a twist in a side crime in one of the suspects to be the body I. The vault..
& Robin is in the Police St. after almost getting kidnapped..waiting for more.

Robin met her future parents in law.... which freak her out really when she finds out... And the crazy lady who kept calling Strike, when he finally got to meet her, he find out that the MI5 caught her and Strike's friend there set him up.

Part Eight is where everything starts to accelerate..

Strike almost got arrested.. Wardle, the cop now ex cop is officially joining Strike & Robin Agency. Two Times' wife (the client who pay to see if his wife's cheating) makes a counter offer.. And Robin made a tense interview with Cosima's father in his private club.. a very interesting character, the father.
And Robin is back to her boyfriend..to Strike's dismay.

End of Part Seven with the suspect murdered down to three.. and a brutal murder of an accomplice and his mother!

I loved the dinner between S&R, made me hungry for Spaghetti Carbonara as what she cooked for them.


But Strike's brutal rebel for Kim is how to make one more enemy. I hate his way but hope she won't be a hard enemy.

Part Seven starts with an exciting trip to a place I've never knew about before;
The Island of Sark..


And it's Srark & Robin, after finally being back to be good friends, on a mission to interview the family of the port star who's one of the possible murdered body in the vault. And a new twist was waiting for them there.

End of Part Six
It ends with a relief after the DNA result made Strike, and us, breath better... and what made it even better is that Stike and Robin are back to the normal sweet complicated friendship/partnership/deep unspoken love.

The case goes to many lengths, 4 main big investigations of the possible murdered body in the Silver Shop's vault.

End of Part Five... with a real hard confronting between Robin and Strike that may affect their relationship forever...
It's so sad really and stressful to read their fight like this. Of course just words fight not physical.
The case also get more and more side lines.. to many suspects, too many side characters to investigate.... and sure it's still fun to keep my mind busy all these days thinking; who's body was it.

Part Five start with Strike trip alone to Scotland for an interview..and Robin interviewing Charlotte's brother which made her feel so badly miserable and may even hate Strike some little bit more.

The Strike/Robin really on thin ice now. And also there's this good blast from the past with a model from Book One that made Robin even more angry since she knows Strike slept with her casually in their first case.

End of Part Four
And it ends with a complete disaster in the Strike/Robin relationship which was already complected but now it's even more.
With too many sex scandals going on the press even off press and Robin learn most of it not from Strike himself everything gets worse.

So she cancelled the trip they were up to together to interview the wife of a suspect to be the body Without letting Strike the real reason.
