Poor Isidore, even the androids look down on him for his disabilities. Honestly he’s my favorite character so far.

My hyper paranoia is dying at this who is or is not an Andy.

The first Andy attack genuinely caught me off guard. Looking forward to how the others will fair. Not looking forward to seeing the female andy be sexualized deckard.

Isidore is the golem of this book and I love him for it. Seeing him struggle with telling robots and organics apart heartbreaking.

How far dick is willing to drag you along into the lie of how convincing Rosen tech artificial life is masterful. Appealing to the cynic in me that I could in fact see a massive tech conglomerate owning the last of a species but still hitting me with the harsh reality that it would just be cheaper to fake it. Truly levels of existentialism purely by implication.

Deckard is such a loser. Like he dosnt go a minute without looking for a way to not look poor, it’s so funny.

The hypocrisy of deckard justifying “retiring” Andy’s because of their lack of empathy despite referring to “chickenheads” as lower forms of humans, showing his clear lack of empathy for his fellow man that he relies on to keep up his social façade of animal ownership is not lost on me

Changing perspective from a robot, bounty hunter to a discarded irradiated sped is an interesting choice. Really shows the depravity of this future society. Seeing the emotion engine being a psychotic vr esc experience which leads into the Mercer religion is definitely a surprise that I hope I get more of.

Being able to literally dial in emotions is so dystopian holy shit
