I do find it interesting as a person w power as almost everyone does to an extent, that if you make a decision you hurt someone and benefit another… and so it comes down to deciding who you care for more and who you would benefit and let down at the same time. It’s a hard consideration, and one it seems Lan doesn’t take lightly, but I think these choices might come to the detriment of him anyway or the clan

I feel like I always say I’m intrigued… but this one is for sure intriguing. I’ve never really read a book that goes into so much depth about the politics of history / family / ethnicity…? As always, so fun to hear about other points of view of characters, learning many sides of everyone
