Still reading Silver Sparrow, and I just landed at 79%.
It isn’t bad, but I have to admit, I’m not as eager to pick it up as I was with Tayari’s KIN. I’m looking forward to finishing this one so I can move on to my next read.

Enjoying this book a lot so far. I'm on Chapter 18, but I keep catching myself checking the progress percentage more often than I'd like. 😅 Looking forward to seeing where the rest of the story goes.

I don't even know where to start except to say: I absolutely adored this book.
Kin by Tayari Jones completely stole my heart. Every character felt so real, but the friendship between Vernice and Annie was the soul of the story for me. I loved watching them grow, change, and even head in different directions without ever letting go of what they meant to each other. Their friendship wasn't perfect, but it was intentional. They continued to choose each other, and I found that so refreshing and beautiful.
This book made me laugh, reflect, and appreciate the people who stay in our lives through every season. Tayari Jones has such a gift for creating characters who feel like people you actually know.
Without question, it's earned a spot on my favorites shelf. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
