Gingerly he lifted up the surprisingly heavy snake, stroking its scales, letting it wrap around him. It brushed against his ear, his hair, before finally settling around him like an exotic wrap. It was a heavy but not unwelcome weight. Now Culebra did smile, petting the smooth, slick scales.
Culebra (=>Snake) the Basilisk Prince, is favored by snakes, really reminds me of Voldemort and his Nagini, hehe.

It was the only place where he was not feared or hated. Here, he was loved and could love freely. His snakes had nothing to fear from him. They knew him, knew from whom he was descended and loved him for it.
