Umm, so, yeah. That was hella good. Wow. Fairly low on spice (though what there was pretty explicit), and the themes were heavy AF. Can't wait to start book 2, although I don't want to listen to anything (old or new) until I write my review for this one. Thankfully I actually took notes, in addition to these updates.

If I thought that revenge scene at the end of God of Fury was bad, damn... That person got off easy. Definitely heed the TWs on this one, folks.

YES! I hate this shit! I keep considering asking my group home to stop buying it.

Why do actors sometimes gotta ham it up so bad during spice scenes? Just cuz you say it slow and low doesn't necessarily make it hotter, especially when it's not actual dialogue.

Oh, shit. Granted I don't read that many group relationship books (New Camelot and to some extent Lyonesse being one of the few exceptions), but from what little I have read, I've never read one with this level of emotional intensity over the complications of living a poly lifestyle. And you can see how both of the MCs involved are doing their best, and their feelings are valid.

Two things.
One, I confirmed that this is MMFM from the book description.
Two, I adore Avro. Like, he's a total 180 from Killian. I wouldn't go QUITE as far as calling him a Consent King, and that's partly Jace's fault, but he puts Rain's emotional comfort and safety as such a high priority.
This is 100% a dark romance, but I also think it's interesting how the three men all have different consent approaches.

Snake pretending to be a girl having amazing sex was hilarious. Props to the VA.
