This book is 350 pages long. I'm on page 30, but you can cut out nearly half of that and end up with the same story. It feels like this needed more editing. There are asides that are useless and interrupt the flow of the story. Too much time is spent explaining things that don't matter. Thoughts or feelings are expressed multiple times. Trust your reader more and get to the point.
