OMGGG PLOT TWIST. Merritt, the afterlife therapist/fairy gd mother type lady is Cooper’s dead sister Em!! They just reunited in evermore bc cooper I guess is potentially dead with Delphie bc they were in the car together on the way to Jonah so delphie could try to live right before her expiration time. And now they’re in evermore together and ofc Merritt is there and omg what a plot twist!!!!!

I’m loving this so much and so upset I didn’t even think to give it a chance until now like it fully wasn’t even on my TBR but thanks to Ashely poston for making me realize magical realism can be really good bc I’m obsessed with this book. Loveee cooper and delphie and she’s honestly relatable and I genuinely laugh out loud and her relationship w her old neighbor is so sweet and precious and yeah I loveee

- Delphine to be into him. Bc he’s always around even tho they “hate” each other and he just revealed to her he read the books she got about missing people and he was really cryptic about it so I think maybe cooper has a Jonah and that Jonah is Delphine? Honestly so down for that bc I don’t like the insta love vibes with Jonah as much tbh

I’m actually really enjoying this so far. It’s fun but slightly depressing in a way lol but not in a bad way like in a way that a book pretty much about death inevitably is. Anyway I have a theory.
