My favorite piece of “evidence” that this author cites as “proof” that Shakespeare didn’t write Shakespeare is that the will doesn’t match the level of writing found in King Lear. Because yes, obviously, the emails I send to my bank account manager should be used as comparative writing samples to my dissertation and the novel I’m trying to write.

The author, whining: “see, Evelyn Waugh’s grandson agrees with me!”
Okay, but do you see how simply being Evelyn Waugh’s grandson (who sounds like a real asshole, btw) is not an adequate qualification for being a serious historian or a literary critic ? Like. Sharing DNA with Evelyn Waugh does not make someone a Shakespeare expert, sorry.
