Mid-book check-in: Oh my. Jumped into the second book after finishing the first because I was excited for Evie and Aiden. But maaan. Almost halfway and I really don’t like either of them. I love strong, unhinged FMCs but Evie was just an immature brat. Plus I hate plots where the author has to bash the readers’ head repeatedly with why they couldn’t be together. Like we get it. Just move it along already.
