I worry that I will have trouble understanding stuff, but I'm not afraid that I will not enjoy reading this book. I waited a long time to read it and I loved book one with everything in me. I don't even consider giving this book a low rating. I rarely say so, but I'm genuinely confident that I will love it ☺️

@Sana I totally get that! High fantasy can sometimes be hard to understand, or it can be difficult to follow the plot with all the characters. Do you read in your first language?

Usually I would say 'no swearing, please', but I have to thank you for using it! vek is so special to me! I know that you love this series a lot, I do too! I loved book one a lot, it's on my forever favorites list, and I'm loving book two too already. I wonder if I will still prioritize book one after finishing my reading time, probably yes, but we will see how things will look like! ;) P.S. Do you want to be friends with me here on Goodreads? Oh yes, I'm reading in my first language (Polish). My English skills are good and I'm reading lots of books in English, but I purposely waited for The Strength of the Few's translation to read it. I was dying inside the whole time I had to wait, but I'm glad I did it. With all the crazy stuff happening in this book, I would end up lost and confused otherwise :D It's the same situation with the Red Rising series. I read the books in my first language. The only book left for me to read (except for the final one that hasn't been published yet) is Lightbringer which is translated already, but I still don't have access to it yet. The moment I get it in my hands, I'm diving into reading immediately! ☺️

I my gosh, two stars?! TWO?! That just hurts! I'm so sorry that you ended up not enjoying this book, my friend! I hate when book one is phenomenal and we understandably excited for book two just to drown in disappointment :(

I read only a hundred pages and I'm ready to give this book five stars already :D I don't think my positive attitude will change during the rest of my reading time - if so, I will be forever upset, because this is a book I waited so long to read (it felt like ages had passed) and was so excited about. I hope that it's gonna end up in my forever favorites list, like book one did! I'm overjoyed that you still think highly about this book after so many months, hopefully it's gonna stay as your no. 1 book of this year! I think it deserves to keep the spot! ☺️
