Fantastic premise, interesting characters and a developed plot!
However, the monologues/ “inside” Jason’s head HAD TO account for at least 30% of this book and good lord, that got so tedious!!! We get it. He loves his family, he will do anything to save them.
Also, there was filler that didn’t pertain to the plot. Lucinda’s mom, their businesses, I don’t know, a lot of it never was needed.
