Well, it finally got violent. I've been enjoying the cleverness, the wordplay, and the wit SO very much...but ugh. I did not enjoy the descriptions in the last chapter. I can see a pattern forming and can only imagine the terrible things that may be coming for those who dare to cross the cunning Reynard. 🫣

Oh, the violence in this book! But the language is so clever and the descriptions are beyond beautiful. Fantastically written and it oscillates between grotesque and tender in one fell swoop.
