Finished ‘Children of the Corn’
This is classic SK, I think everyone’s at least heard the title to this one. Super creepy, there’s a reason this one is popular. 5/5

Finished ‘I Know What You Need’
King knocked these short stories out of the park. All of them are unique and interesting. All of them are spooky in their own way. He was in his element writing this stuff back in the day, that much is clear. 4/5 for this one

Finished ‘The Lawnmower Man’
This is another one I’d heard about before starting this collection of short stories. Some stories make you wonder how SK comes up with some of this stuff. This one is sick and creepy. 3.5/5

Finished ‘The Ledge’
This one was insaneee. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. So good, and the ending was fantastic. Fireee. 5/5

Finished ‘Strawberry Spring’
Loved this one. Super atmospheric and creepy. Really good ending too, also a quick read. Only nine pages. 5/5

Finished ‘Sometimes They Come Back’
Not even sure what to say about this one, gave IT vibes. Very unique. Superrr creepy ending and was not expecting it at all. 4.5/5

Finished ‘Trucks’
SK once said that he likes to write about what he fears. At this point I’m convinced SK has a fear of vehicles. He’s written too many novels/short stories about menacing cars, trucks, and the like. This one was really good. A very interesting take on the apocalypse. Very entertaining from start to finish. 4.5/5

Finished ‘Battleground’
This one was a little too goofy for me. Entertaining to read + a pretty cool ending but not one I’ll read again. The main character was super interesting and I would’ve liked to see him used in a better story. Oh well. 2.5/5

Finished ‘Gray Matter’
This one was great, written from first person with a rather unique voice. The imagery in this one was super vivid. This is an interesting take on the affects of alcoholism. Also the ending was perfect, super creepy. Might be my favorite so far from ‘The Night Shift’ 4.5/5

Finished ‘The Boogeyman’
This one was simple and eerie. I thought it could’ve been creepier, but still good. It’s about as baseline a horror story as the title makes it sound. 3/5
