Nearly 100 pages in and I’m dreading reading this book… The prose is boring and repetitive but I’ll power through it

I’m really hating this authors prose so far.

So far pretty a gripping story. I like how the protagonist was written to be super elaborate with her explanations for anything, particularly food and the things that bring her joy of course.

However the Author does overwrite her sentences to an eye-rolling extent. I hope the book does mellow with this.
