Maya seems disappointed in herself, but I can understand how she feels. At least that dinner of curried potato, channa and pumpkin served with roti sounds pretty good. Sidenote, I like the friendship bracelets given; purple for Erica, pink for Pearl, green for Lystra, and blue for Maya. It's rather sweet. Or perhaps bittersweet for what's to come...
