It is so painfully obvious that every side character exists solely for him to exposit to and inflate his ego. They are written to be so flat and lifeless. There is no push back or debate from anyone. He dregs up some topic, they say they don’t understand and then they praise him for being so evolved to come up with such an earth shattering idea like “instruction manuals for protestors are a form of sculpting.”

The fuckery begins. It’s all downhill from here. The way Robert writes is just so incredibly sanctimonious and self indulgent. Just inflating the groundbreaking power of his own ideas to the reader like we’re Chris some child that simply cannot comprehend the magnitude of his words. This chapter alone reminds why I have quit this book 4 times.
