It's not a wage or societal issue, it's a boundary issue? LMAO.
"A recent Charles Schwab study showed that 59 percent of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. Far too many Americans live without savings, emergency funds, or retirement funds. When they experience a small financial setback, everything can fall apart. It’s a boundary issue because we lack the willingness to tell ourselves no to whatever we want."

In a couple of these citations (informal, I know) it really bugs me that when citing some Insta poll of her followers, she doesn't even mention how many accounts answered it or even mentions how it be totally skewed.

"When someone is passive-aggressive, they think something like this: 'I will act out how I feel, but I’ll deny how I feel.' Sometimes when people act in a passive-aggressive manner, they do so unconsciously. [...] When people describe their passive-aggressive behavior, I say, 'So you haven’t communicated your need, but you’ve acted it out?'"

It's interesting how oversharing, talking too much too quickly, etc. can be boundary violations.

"Reframe the way you think about setting boundaries, and that mental shift will help you minimize discomfort." Half the time the advice is just resummarizing that you should reframe something without telling you how. I don't like this format of nesting detail/advice for paragraph subheadings.

"'What kind of person smokes in another person’s car and leaves the tank almost empty?' he thought. He was disappointed to find that his roommate failed to meet his unspoken expectations." I want to be taught how to realize I even have "boundaries" around some things. Knowing to communicate is great but not when I'm aware of how expectations differ and might not even know what needs to be said.

I was already wary when she mentioned being an influencer on Instagram but reading this feels very basic. I wonder if she's been a big influence on the weaponizing therapy-speak movement.
