𑣲. "After everything that was taken from Millie Naharkey, there was no money for a headstone."

Wow. That made me immediately break into tears. To hear a poor Native woman was cheated out of billions of dollars, a family estate, and her rightful inheritance, and while these fraudulent men got statues and libraries erected in their names, she couldn't even pay for a headstone afterwards? Unbelievable.

𑣲. As important and beautiful as the story itself is, I'm very disappointed in the writing. Nagle did an amazing job researching and planning, but her storytelling is painfully subpar, incomprehensible, messy, and vague.

𑣲. This book covers content that is ineffably well-researched. I am immensely impressed at the degree of expertise and proficiency with which this was comprised. Every word feels personal and hand-picked to strike a chord.
