Guys, I’ve got a third of this book left and I’m still only 15% clear on what’s going on. Why am I still reading it? Is this a stretched out short story? Is it too smart for me, or just humbly pretentious?

Look, I love batshit crazy (Library On Mount Char, Hawk Mountain, Necromancer’s House) but being gonzo isn’t a get out of literary jail free card.
