—it is, in fact, giving Jane Eyre, but like if you skip all the opening stuff that Charlotte wrote for her own psychological reasons and not because it’s necessary for the story.
—having a bunch of sexy and mysterious French people with cool names and then calling your protagonist “Linda Martin” is crazy.
