This is...bland. It's the most generic YA fantasy novel I have read to date, cribbing BALDLY from "Avatar: The Last Airbender" while also somehow managing to be phenomenally boring. And the low-effort "inspired-by-Yoruban-culture" parts are offensive because of how poorly handled they are. E.G.: This Nigerian-inspired setting has a capital city named LAGOS. Which is the name the PORTUGUESE gave Nigeria's now-capital.
