Some prose entries, lots of art.
I liked the pin-up from Lightle. Specifically how Spidey looks in it. I don’t know why; it just kept me looking at it, trying to figure out why he looks like he does.

There was also something about the ‘greatest story never told’. That seemed interesting.

Fear Itself #1
I didn’t love the art. There was one panel where Spidey’s head was NOT proportionate to his body.
Then MJ looked how she did in the 60’s, which felt like a step back.

The castle was very cool though.

When I saw it was about Hitler and WWII, I skimmed through the story.

I know, history is important. But there’s been a LOT of comic stories about it.

The bad guy gets blown up anyway.

I found myself not super interested in reading the full Cardiac story line. So I skimmed most of issues #359 and #360.

I did read the Cletus Kasady parts….

He chose his first victim because he thought his name was stupid!?
Like Carnage is better?? (I guess it’s more menacing…)

I also read Cardiac’s tale about his past.
It is terribly sad when greed overpowers altruism.

Skipped issues 351-352.

Cool full page art of Spidey, Nova and Tri-Sentinel though. Looks quite 2000s.

The origins of Green Goblin (three of them) and Hobgoblin!

Everyone blames Spidey for something, I guess.

I skipped the rest of the Annual.

I thought with Venom becoming more popular, I should remind myself of his origins.

I didn’t remember (or maybe I didn’t read it?) what Eddie was about to do when the symbiote found him.

The end narration makes it sound like Venom knows Spidey left his island alive.
Which is not how that story ended.

I think the point of that narration was to let the readers know they hadn’t seen the last of this villain.

I also skipped all of Spectacular Spider-Man Annual #11 and most of Web of Spider-Man Annual #7.

I did read ‘Truckstop of Doom!’, for Venom.

Just another showcase of him protecting innocents while showing no mercy for those who hurt them.

Venom looked very skinny. It was kind of funny.

I skipped the last short story.

Massive Annual to start!

I was unsure if I wanted to read ‘Round Robin’ or not. I decided not to.
Apparently it’s not very good and I have a reading goal I want to accomplish!
