started this one a few days back. so far a bit slow. also had to look up the meaning of a lot of lingo used around
the vocab is by no means difficult, but its just tht the novel is written in authentic appalachian vernacular w/ dense idioms n regional expressions
so far, its often the case tht i understand the literal words but not it's implied meaning

this book is slowly rubbing off on me. sometimes it makes me sleepy, sometimes it makes me feel visceral rage, sometimes it makes me feel pityful, sometimes im just learning american history
but i def wish i had a physical copy on this read thru n didn do it thru ebook or audio as much

trudging thru it but the story and voice of the character is starting to resonate well even tho i can't relate n havent suffered anywhere as close to the mc. altho i will say that this is one of those books which i wish i saved to read physically rather than thru the ebook n audio
