1950's & 1960's Honeysuckle, Louisiana
Really appreciate the fact that the story has two narrators who have been friends since they were little girls. One girl is
a baby whose mother died when she was only 6 months old . The other was abandoned by her mother at 3 days old.
Vernice is off to Spelman College and Annie off to Memphis to look for her mother who abandoned her after birth.
Love this writing.
