not to yk but my fam is worse than this 😅 even with the acknowledgement of great wall this is still quite a sugarcoated take on filchi culture. the mom cried bc she wanted her son to tell her she was gay earlier? the mc was retoed to a brown guy and he’s actually in the lead? what in the 🦅 i mean i’m sure it’s possible but for most fams it’s lunacy. i’ve heard such awful stories…

if he was a real filchi gay he would never say it out loud and die single 🤷‍♀️

the scarce hokkien in this book is killing me 😭 she DOES sound americanized lol sorry

you can tell what kind of filchi fam they are by the fact that they’re talking abt up in a positive light 😂
