1/3: I really enjoyed this novella. Children in danger, second chances, and a wintery setting encompass this story. Having the background of foster care was a good addition to this book. This story is fast moving with the danger but we also get some sweet moments with the second chance romance. Throw in a Christmas celebration, and I’m all ready to dive into more holiday reads!

This contribution felt more like a contemporary legal romance than a romantic suspense. It was a good read for a Christian second chance romance, but the suspense angle was nonexistent. I was also surprised at how abruptly the story ended.
