This is a very different book than i expected. I was hoping for a comprehensive overview of the history of the Bund, how they started, what organizing strategies they used, what lessons they offer for the Jewish left today, etc. This reads more like a series of anecdotes about a handful of the Bund’s leaders as well as the author’s grandfather. Interesting but not what I was hoping for.
