This book is written with so much confidence and ease (I don't mean the narrative voice or the protagonist, I just mean the feel of the writing and the approach) that it totally negates my fear of a book this long. Bret Easton Ellis is kind of exclusively writing run-on sentences and somehow making it work every time. Can you tell that I'm already really impressed by this? I just feel like I'm in such capable hands.
