Despite cringing throughout, it’s fascinating hearing the main character’s (Natalie) story of her upbringing and the circumstances that created this truly unlikeable person. I even have some empathy for her. How did that happen?

I’m barely into this book and I want to slap the main character. Eager to untangle her complicated sense of self and worldviews.
