​I gave this book a chance even though I wasn't the biggest fan of the first one. After all, sometimes good premises get better in book 2.

​But I'm not happy with what I'm reading. This book is going in a direction that isn't what I expected—and not in a good way.

​I'll finish it because I'm still having fun and I want to see where it goes, but I don't see myself continuing the series.
