There is way too much telling and not enough showing in this book. Like, I’ve been told so many times about how Scott and Kip talk for hours about anything and everything, Scott tells Kip funny stories about his day, etc. etc. but I’m never told what they actually talk to each other *about*. What’s the funny story? What does Scott find funny, and does Kip have the same sense of humor? What do they find to bond over outside of great sex? I think in an insta-love romance it’s critical to establish a clear and strong dynamic between the two characters and make it obvious how their personalities suit them uniquely to one another; otherwise how am I supposed to buy into their “true love”?
