Read two chapters today. First one was focused on their bomb raid of Nauru where they destroyed the island but super man took 592 shots. One crew member died and a bunch were injured. Then right when they get back, the Japanese start bombing them and blow up a bunch of the island. Super man is gone and Phil and Louie end the chapter looking for a new plane and getting a new crew

Most the chapter is just detailing how planes crashed more in non combat than combat and going through stories of different issues airmen faced (sharks, capture, old planes). Finished with detailing how different men dealt with the constant death of colleagues around them.
