Narratively, that scene is suspiciously convenient. Mbali magically appears at Zola’s table?? That’s not just coincidence in my reader brain. “Now that we’ve cleared the emotional runway, let’s put these two idiots together 😂

The flowers wreck her. His attention to Zola wrecks her. She drinks herself into oblivion. She falls down the stairs 😭meanwhile Mbali is out here living his life. Girl, ENOUGH. Give Okuhle a new man. Give her a hobby. Give her a vacation. Give her a promotion. Give her a mysterious handsome stranger at the clinic. I don’t care 😂 just get this woman away from Mbali for five minutes.
