The design of the standee ;; I don't even know what to say rip, at least I don't think I'll be getting the special edition. It's not worth the money :/

IM SO MAD ABOUT THE STANDEE 😭😭😭 when i heard chibi, i was imagining something like the qjj's official chibi standees. what tf is this chopfest. and i totally agree but, tbf erha's special edition was really, really nice imo. i wish this could've gotten something similar, at least a fucking proper standee...

chibi already was a little bit of a dubious choice and then, it's a modern au AND THEN, IT'S SO UGLY 😐 and literallyy, i normally preorder every qjj volume but, i was skeptical because we weren't even getting that much merch and this time, it's honestly ugly so, i will not be ordering the "special" edition...

i'm the merchless bum here 😭😭😭 i've never seen anything qjj in the wild so, never got my hands on any merch. might need to actively look online now because this is so sad.

ive been disappointed since the moment i clapped eyes on dat cover (for vol 1), so nothing new really.

same hahaha... 😬😬 i am no picasso over here but, the only cover i genuinely like is volume five's but even then, it doesn't really give BOOK cover. i like volume 4's cover's symbolism asw tho. idk why but none of the volumes are rlly lovely and have the presence? vibe? needed for a book cover (esp one with qjj's subject matter).

honestly id just gladly take a cover with some mountains and a river - trying to depict a peerless beauty like lanzhou is a thankless task anyway, since everyone gonna have their own vision of that. but 7s is dead set on doing disney all the time.

this is why i tend to prefer a lot of rosmei's covers, they keep it really classy. honestly, i agree about the peerless beauty part but, don't really think suto (or whoever makes the decisions) did a good job with the qjj covers in general. for erha and yuwu, the composition of the covers are really nice with a lot of detail and the characters tend to look really nice. that same skill isn't seen in qjj...
