Sanderson writes insanely good fantasy, but I feel as if, like many male authors, he struggles to write a good relationship from the point of view of the woman. There was no real build up to the relationship, it was just sort of blind adoration. Also, it seems that the guy is constantly infantilizing Vin when she has more experience in literally everything.
