So I really like it cause it’s exactly my type of book, but… how did it ever become a bestseller? When has a slice-of-life, no-drama, no-plot, no-twists, no-action, just-thoughts and mundanity type of book ever become a bestseller before? I need to research this case

Everyone hates on this but unfortunately I kinda loved the movie adaptation (slice of life perfection).

I live for slice of life stories without conclusions or escalations.
