Maybe you could read Rudy Red by Kerstin Gier. It‘s a timetravel Story and one of my Favorit Books. It‘s Not Rallye fairytale-Like or set in another world or anything, trough it takes place in London. There is a Romanheld subplot. But you‘ll probably find something that suits you better better, because this is set in the real world an the only magical is the timetravel and somethings around it.
