Surprise! This novel has almost nothing to do with “One Battle After Another”! For one thing, it’s a helluva lot funnier! The language is crazy soaring and crash-burning on its own overwrought fancies, which comes as a welcome joy after all the careful plotting and crafting of most writing today. And yet I know I’m in the hands of a master. Holy granny-gracious!
