This book is honestly so good. It makes me sick to my stomach how life was a mere 60 years ago for anyone who wasn’t white. I do have to say I did think there would be more horror elements but honestly the racism is more horrific than anything else anyway. Gloria is a bad bitch. Miss Lottie is my favorite.
