Where one man had been olive-skinned, possibly of Mediterranean origin, the other was Black with a complexion Penny called “piss-stank yellow.” Their facial expressions though were nearly identical.” - I wouldn’t expect colorism in a book like this , it’s derogatory and rude it’s putting me off from wanting to read the rest of the story .
