Finished Part 5. Too political, but interesting.

Part 4 done. I wasn't interested in learning about shoe trade and manufacture in so much detail. The frequent descriptions of filthy locations also put me off. I enjoy the parts of the novel that focus on Lata better.

End of Part 3. This was good!

End of Part 2. I didn't like this as much as Part One.

Finished Part 1. Quite a long way to go yet, but enjoying the book so far!
