Off to a good start. I’m practicing writing in smaller complete sentences focused on nouns and verbs while I engage with this book. The introduction by White begins strongly with the command to “omit needless words.”

Strunk’s guidance on semicolons is illuminating. I’ve always used them intuitively, so it helps to know they are for conjoining independent clauses.
